Thanks to the easy, intuitive operation of vehicle and conveyor belt as well as the great flexibility and large range of the belt body, the Orbiter is suitable for a particularly large number of applications. The products convince with their sophisticated ergonomic operating elements at the belt body and feature a number of innovative details, for example the optimized bumpers which prevent damage to the aircraft body and thus delays or cancellation of flights.
The flexible setting of the conveyor belt gives the ground staff the chance to optimize the handling process or to adjust it to special circumstances. The baggage is conveyed safely on the non-slid endless belt with Rufftop surface. A telescopic double railing prevents interruptions of the loading and unloading process and provides increased safety.
The efficiency and safety of the Orbiter conveyor belt vehicles can be enhanced with additional equipment. With the anti-collision assistant ACA we offer an option that can greatly improve baggage handling and make it even safer. The optional Power-Stow conveyor belt extension is another valuable addition. The special roller design of this conveyor belt extension provides for extreme stability in everyday applications while cutting the costs by reducing personnel requirement and loading times.
Collision protection ACA
Via the ultrasonic sensor at the front end of the conveyor belt, the anti-collision assistant ACA helps the driver to position the vehicle properly when approaching the aircraft:
The system automatically reduces the travelling speed during the approach to the aircraft in two steps and stops the traction drive immediately before the point of collision. This effectively helps to avoid damage to the aircraft body as a result of positioning the conveyor belt at the aircraft.
Under certain circumstances, it is possible to retrofit existing conveyor bodies with an ACA.
