Founded in Bad Peterstal on 01 August 1953, the new company left the small fitter's workshop at the Engelberg in Bad Peterstal already in 1955 for the new building at the Stöckmatt, which was extended in 1970 to today's size. To accommodate its constantly growing business, MULAG built its Factory II in Oppenau-Löcherberg in 1980, followed by two extensions in 2000 and 2010.

With the new Training Centre which was opened at the original site at Stöckmatt in Bad Peterstal in the year 2013, the company got the Renchtal site ready for the future.
